I had the pleasure to works alongside Christina at Bloodhound SSC, Christina was involved in the formulation, documentation and delivery of STEM based workshops. All of these she did admirably, always bringing her own style and enthusiasm making her an invaluable Team Member. I wish her well in her future career.

Fundraising: I raised over £1600 for Raleigh International by organising a charity quiz event, running 10km and promoting my participation in the scheme via social and local media. Overseas placement: I spent 10 weeks in a remote, rural Tanzanian village with 11 other youth volunteers (from the UK and Tanzania). Together, we worked with the villagers to design and implement a water and sanitation project. I took responsibility for all activities within schools and also acted as team leader to my fellow volunteers for part of the placement. Action at Home: After returning home, I highlighted to my local community the issue of lack of access to water in places such as Tanzania. For 5 days, I walked for 45 minutes to collect my water and limited my usage to just 10 litres a day for drinking, cleaning, cooking etc. I blogged about my experience and used social and local media to tell people about it. Key skills from this experience: Fundraising Use of social media Team work Adaptability and flexibility Negotiation Leadership Ability to work in a remote location under challenging environmental conditions Project management Persistence and self-motivation Show less
