Cindy first started working with me during a three month practicum in June of 2002. Her leadership skills were evident from the start and she ended up managing the other interns in my office soon after she started. At the time we were working on a $1.2 million cross pIatform project that was designed to deploy on TV and on the web. Cindy worked on the web side of the project and we have worked together ever since. Despite moving to Ontario, Cindy is still working with me on a part-time basis and continues to manage existing on line projects that she worked on since 2002 - our corporate website www.reelgirlsmedia.com, www.booked.tv - a companion to a TV series that features podcasts and vidcasts with crime fiction authors and people who work in crime investigation, www.anashinteractive.com - an online space where users can create their own comics and stories using digital assets from the animated TV series. Cindy has been a real asset to my company over the years. Not only has she been able to build and manage the new media team on all of our projects, she also provides technical support, deals with all of the computers and printers in the office, helps me with my iphone and computer (I am a bit technically inept), she does some programming, can do storyboarding, assists me with writing proposals, can work on several projects at once, she is a great task manager and can manage multiple projects, tasks and deliverables. If we are working on a deadline I know I can depend on Cindy. As projects change and move in to different phases, Cindy is able to continue to work on projects assuming a different role. She has also been helpful in the office with team building (planning activities to acknowledge birthdays, project milestones and special events).
