I had the great pleasure of working with Gibbo for 2 years while at Eye USA. During that time I witnessed the positive impact he made on the organization through a clearly defined vision, infectious passion and a detailed knowledge of every aspect of our business. In addition to his arsenal of leadership skills and success history, he has a natural ability that can't be taught. Gibbo has an unparalleled gift to motivate and inspire those he leads - resulting in winning over their hearts and empowering them to own the company vision personally. Listening to him address the company as a whole or sitting across from him one on one, you can't help but leave the session laser focused, energized and ready to hit the ground running. Gibbo is a leader that can only be defined as different, better and special. He is the X factor that every successful company needs.

"Gibbo" as I now call David was an inspirational leader from the go!!....After leaving Channel Ten sales in WA to move to its new venture, in Out of Home, called Eye Corp, I met Gibbo, who was GM Eye Shop. He encouraged you to want to excel by leading by example. Gibbo was not only there, to help staff learn the strengths of Eye Shop, but he encouraged me to express how I should take Shop to market, in a way that would resonate with WA and with the common goal of trial and re-booking of this new media opportunity. This goal had two parts.... one to educate the market on Eye Shop's strengths and where it fitted in the media landscape, the second to achieve the revenue objectives . It was a team effort from start to finish and boy did we hit our objectives" " with a lot of fun, support and open discussion along the way. Gibbo's strengths include; open dialogue , mutual respect, support, clear objectives and revenue targets. More importantly to me, a mentor and a leader you can discuss your decision making process, especially as it affects the local landscape, whilst still being accountable for the results. This meant I was able to lead a team that respected the product, were committed and delivered outstanding results- year after year. David is one of the best managers I have worked with in 25 years experience across UK and Australia media.. I still to this day call Gibbo for advice, support and as a friend for guidance. Cheers, Terry

EYE Corp, was an International OOH (outdoor) media operator, acquired by Network TEN in December 2000 and divested in November 2012. From 2000 to 2006 Eye was primarily a Billboard, Retail, Airport and University operator in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. In 2006 Eye expanded internationally to the UK, Singapore and USA. The expansion was a combination of winning competitive tenders along with acquisitions driving consolidation and reinvention. EYE was a pioneer from 2004 for the introduction of digital screen networks, especially in shopping malls and airports. More recently EYE launched Amplify - the worlds largest mobile enabled Out-of-Home media network. Amplify is a technology-agnostic platform that enables advertisers to extend traditional Out-of-Home campaigns onto mobile phones using QR (Quick Response codes), NFC (Near Field Communications), SMS and AR (Augmented Reality).
