Continuing development of Library For in Peterborough and the management, delivery and closure of Bring it Back. Bring It Back aims to remove the barriers and increase take-up of reusable packaging schemes. PECT are working with multiple community groups to co-create tailored pilot trials, with the wider aim of eliminating the need for single-use food and drink packaging waste.

    • Project Coordinator
      • May 2022 - Jul 2023

Working on the delivery and management of projects across PECT involving the Circular Economy (CE), including Blueprint to a Circular Economy and Peterborough Central Library For.Blueprint to a Circular Economy aims at helping local authorities transition to a CE, with the creation of the Blueprint Model. My responsibilities were leading on CE training to teach participants the fundamentals of a CE and green skills to boost employability in the sustainability sector. Additionally, I worked on SHIFT pilot Waste Less Wards, which aimed at reducing waste and increasing recycling rates in Fletton and Eastgate in Peterborough. A range of communications were created to support this transition, including translated information packs, as well as in-person events and community engagement. Peterborough Central Library For is a new lending library in the heart of Peterborough (Central Library). It aims to reduce ownership of useful household items and create a hub for communities to use for learning new skills. With the cost of living and climate crisis, this project aims to help communities thrive with low cost rentals and free workshops. My responsibilities have been to communicate with key stakeholders, help with research and preliminary phases of the pilot project, and marketing. Show less
