Developed and implemented processes to improve operations through communications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Improved communications with Fleet Managers, Customer Service, Management and Safety by coaching operations to produce an end of day email to Fleet personnel to head off any potential issues during after hours transactions. Produced several Key Point Indicators (KPI’s) to track trends and patterns in the industry through Length of Haul, Rate per Loaded Mile, Waste Days, Layovers, Productivity, & Equipment Utilization metrics. Improved revenue and tractor utilization per load through freight consolidation and reconfiguration of lanes. Successfully spearheaded a Customer Service Department running trucks at 16% deadhead and reduced empty miles to 11% in 3 months. Improved on-time Monday delivery by 12%, from 58% to 70%. Prepared a proposal for the reorganization of the Customer Service Department saving the company over $300,000 annually in overhead cost and also prepared a proposal to develop a Single Point of Contact department for all National Accounts.
