In the spring of 2005 our plans team was in need of a capable merchandiser. We were fortunate that Hillary was working for our divisional partner, Hanley Wood Market Intelligence, and eager to be a part of our plans team. From the moment I interviewed Hillary I knew she had the intelligence, creativity, and personality to be an effective merchandiser, marketer, and designer advocate. Although we only worked together for a limited time, with my departure in August of the same year, she impressed me with her initiative, work ethic, attention to detail, and her ability to learn quickly and make immediate contributions to the team. Her ascent to a leadership role in the department came as no surprise. Her calm, capable demeanor was well suited to working with Hanley Wood's diverse group of home designers and architects as well as the various Hanley Wood departments with which she interfaced. I enthusiastically endorse her as a trusted and experienced home plans, marketing, content, and partner relations professional as she embarks on her consulting career.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Hillary for a number of years. Her attention to detail mixed with professionalism has made her a valuable contact for my Design business. Hillary has participated as a judge for the American Residential Design Awards program conducted by the American Institute of Building Design. In a judging capacity she demonstrated the integrity and a professional approach to the position. I would consider her an asset to know and work with more than just an acquaintance in the profession.

General Manager/Lead Designer

I was fortunate to find Wollam Gardens at a unique moment in its history. Faced with the choice to sell/retire or turn the management of his 11-acre flower farm and event venue over to his small team of employees, Mr. Wollam chose the latter. It has been my honor to collaborate with several women of various backgrounds to increase production and revenue, to initiate and develop new lines of business, and to be empowered to create and nurture on a daily basis. I took the lead in mid-2019. As general manager and lead designer, I oversee all farm business, including planning, financial analysis, and staffing, and I also handle business-to-business sales and custom floral clients, managing the design process from consultation to wedding-day execution.
