Assist Director and shop manager with cleaning, organization and installation of tools and supplies. 3. Help Develop solutions to complex shop problems 4. Assist with development of communications with Artisan Support Project members. Consultant: (1) Review existing literature in political science and sociology, focusing on the work of Antanas Mockus and colleagues, on how established cultural norms can be changed; (2) Observe and document what the shop looks like during typical work days and the behavior of shop users in order to establish a base line; (3) Conduct formal or informal surveys or interviews to determine the attitudes and beliefs of current and former members; (4) Working with the Executive Director and Chair, develop interventions to change existing norms and behavior patterns, which ideas are informed by theory, suggestions from members and practical insights; (6) Maintain a journal with observations and a description of the different ideas considered, dismissed and tried; (5) At the end of the consulting period, write a brief report that describes the effort, the results to date, and recommendations for future actions.
