Non Project Related Achievements: Preformed energy audit on a pump house and made yearly savings of $6.5k with a payback period of 2 years. Utilized a lean manufacturing technique called 5S to organize warehouse and office space. Trained Senior Engineers in MS Excel, which increased productivity around office. Designed Maintenance schedules for Instrument calibrations and Pump services. Due to increased number of site visits I became a Qualified Occupational First Aider. Project 1: Carrick on – Shannon WTP – Filtration & SCADA Upgrade ($72k) EPS were tasked to go into the Filter room in the Carrick WTP to upgrade their filters and valves which were out of spec. and install a Run to waste line. I was responsible for the valve and actuator sizing and utilized my knowledge of fluid mechanics to size/price appropriate valves. I also had to project manage this install and provide H&S equipment and safety inductions to EPS staff. Project 2: Galway Clarifier Refurbishment, Ireland – Upgrade work on Co. Galway Clarifiers ($200k) EPS were awarded the tender to upgrade the scraper blades in several WWTP sites around Co. Galway Ireland. I was assisting the Project Manager on this project which involved draining the clarifier tanks and cleaning the tank to allow confined space trained workers to safely remove the existing scraper blades and install newly fabricated ones. Project 3: Proposed Pumping Station, Avena Estate Ireland – Tender/Pump Station Design ($15k) EPS was asked by a consultancy group to tender for a foul pump station install for a residential estate in Ballisodare Ireland.
