PROTECT Project is a regional project, financed by the European Union, implemented by UNDP in four countries which are, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and The Philippines. The implementation of this project has entered the 2nd Phase (2020 - 2023) which has main three outputs, firstly, the research component to provide the evidence-based-research. Secondly, the series of policy engagement to support the implementation of National Action Plan on Prevention of Violent Extremism (NAP on PCVE), and thirdly, the capacity building for PCVE actors (youth, women, Religious-Based Organizations, Syndication online media, etc).

• 2030 Youth Force is a regional youth-led network in Asia-Pacific that brings the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to all with the vision of leaving no one behind, initiated by UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub and United Nations Volunteer (UNV). • Responsible for research, planning, and implementing new programs and overseeing the entire development progress of its implementation. • Developing the annual program for 2030 Youth Force Indonesia, including the holding of International Youth Day (IYD), SDGs Youth Actions, SDGs School Ambassador. • Working closely with the Ministry of National Planning (Bappenas), Presidential Staff Office (KSP), and the Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kominfo) in raising the awareness of the 2030 agenda and SDGs among young people across Indonesia though the program called “SDGs YouthNity” during year 2019. • Engaging with other youth organizations that focus on SDGs to be actively involved in achieving SDGs.

• Assisting the Deputy Assistant for Asia, Pacific, and Africa Cooperation to provide in-depth analyses, recommendations and initiatives on relevant issues. • Preparing papers, briefing material, and talking points on the relevant issues. • Maintaining close contact, collaborations, and network with Foreign counterparts, relevant government counterparts, and national CSOs. • Assisting the holding of International Forum, both Bilateral and Sub-Regional Forum, such as the 5th Indonesia-Australia Ministerial Council Meeting on Law and Security (MCM) on 5 August 2018 and The Sub-Regional Meeting on Counter Terrorism (SRM on CT) on 6 November 2018. • Assisting the holding of policy engagement activities in the form of Focus Group Discussion and Inter-government meeting on the relevant issues.

Volunteer Research Assistant

During my three months being the research volunteer in Sandya Institute, it opened my insight about the minorities in Indonesia, such as from ethnicity, sexual orientation and others human right issues. I also involved in any other activities such as handling the youth project that focuses on Counter Violent Extremism. It was a great experience for me to be involved in Sandya Institute, since it is very relevant with my common interest and my study background. So I can implement my understanding into practical action.

It was being the brand new experience to me, taking part in the Low Cost Private School (LCPS) project. LCPS is one of CIPS' project that observe the private school with the low cost (range: 0 - 300.000,00 IDR) as one of the solution for the education challenges in Indonesia. What we expect or the outcome from this project is to gain investors' attentions through the presence of private school in Indonesia. This project was executed in Koja, East Jakarta for two weeks. CIPS also propose any policies as well as the recommendations regarding the project' output to the related Stakeholders.
