Optimization of design of structures using sequential linear programming algorithm, Tools: JAVA (Aug ’08 – May ’10) * Research work financially supported by Air Force Research Labs - Research Wing and guided by Dr. Ashok V. Kumar * Worked on a modified sequential linear programming algorithm using Java to optimize the conceptual designs of structures and mechanisms within a feasible domain * Developed mathematical algorithms to display optimized 2D and 3D shapes using Java 3D Graphics API * Designed a method to obtain identical optimized shapes irrespective of the mesh size used for analysis * Implemented Delaunay Tetrahedralization algorithm in Java to perform numerical integration for 3D structural analysis * Used B-spline finite elements for both structural analysis and shape representation Show less
