  I was one of two full time reporters on staff at the daily Ionia Sentinel-Standard, circulation approx. 3100. After just five months on the job as the education reporter, our lead reporter took a position at another paper and I was promoted. I was then responsible for city and county government as well as the county court system. I also did some layout. I was responsible for maintaining the site's archives as well.While in this position, I transitioned the paper from a Microsoft FrontPage site to a Wordpress CMS while teaching some members of the staff how to navigate the new system.
