I met Tomás when he was working for us at USA Today. I hired him and had the pleasure of working closely with him as he designed an entire magazine for me when became Founding Editor of Inter@ctive Week in 1994. In 1999, when I was Editor-in-Chief of United Press International, I hired him to come in and redesign the company logo to reflect our plans for a new corporate identity. I worked with some of the very best artists, graphic artists and photographers at USA Today, but not one of them compares to Tomás. His creative skills are the best I’ve ever seen. He works with his clients with sensitivity and efficiency. He loves a team environment and welcomes all ideas as positive input. On all of the projects I’ve seen him do, the end product far exceeds client expectations. It’s such a joy to work with Tomás. It wouldn’t even occur to me to hire anyone else in the future.
