Art Lighting Technician
-
Mar 2016 - Dec 2019
I spearheaded the Autry Museum's artifact lighting renovation from a chaotic mix of incandescent and halogen formats to contemporary LED systems while single-handedly lighting all shows across 15 galleries. I also developed information maps of all the lighting control systems throughout the museum; data that had never been collected in the museum's 23 year history. It was an uphill battle at every step and I enjoyed it immensely!

Architectural Concept Designer

Jan 2006 - Jul 2006
This was an artist residency in it's earliest experimental phase, where I designed an underground bath house with water-sheet dividing walls, an imbedded-fiber-optic "starlight" swimming pool, and a massive glass "Deluge Cube" to sit at ground level above. The 10 foot tall walls of the cube channeled water upward, between sandwiched glass panels, imparting the exterior visual impression that the cube was composed of only turbulent water. Within the cube, the subterranean pool room was capped with a prism-lit dome so that sunlight would beam into to the pool and move position reflexively with the sun. Show less
