I have been working on a collaborative project between NBRC and Indian Institute of Technology – Delhi regarding the detection and classification of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by determining biophysical parameters of the human brain such as its elasticity index and connectivity. I am also studying the effects of ageing on these imaging parameters. I am also currently involved in designing paradigms for cognitive tasks and analyzing fMRI data to associate function to certain structural areas in the human brain. Show less

Attended a three-day workshop on functional MRI at Piramal Diagnostics, Mumbai conducted by Philips Healthcare and Invivo. The workshop helped teach the use of functional MRI (fMRI) on a 3T MRI machine using software such as ESys and DynaSuite Neuro (DSN). The development and editing of paradigms for fMRI using the IFIS Paradigm Wizard and Eprime was taught by application specialists from the United States. I quickly obtained an overall understanding of the software and created two new paradigms that were tested successfully. Piramal Diagnostics requested my services for the creation of paradigms in the immediate future. Show less
