I recommend Nicole Spivey. She is an instructor at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC). I met her during my time at GTCC while pursuing my studies there. Though Ms. Spivey has never personally taught me, she always takes the time to ensure that we are on the right track. After meeting her she gave me her personal number and ask that I reach out to her should I need any assistance. It has being a few years now and I still can reach out to her at any time, because she always kept the line of communication open to me. Being a student you always have questions and Ms Spivey is always ready to lend a listening ear and give advice or recommendations to her pupil. She has a big heart for people and what she does. I strongly recommend Ms Spivey. It is a great honor to know you.

I have known Ms. Spivey since 2002, as a co-worker at Guilford Child Development (GCD) Head Start/Early Head Start program in Greensboro North Carolina. Ms. Spivey has excellent computer skills. She is very experienced in Microsoft Word, (PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Internet Explorer). Nicole is very knowledgeable in all aspects of working with volunteers. One of her many responsibilities with the agency was ensuring that volunteers receive all training necessary to provide services within our 13 centers located in Greensboro and High Point North Carolina and at our central office location. Ms. Spivey planned and implemented volunteer programs and events and monitored the attendance and performance of the volunteers to ensure quality service. She worked with our community partners, universities, and high schools in recruiting volunteers. Nicole was in charge of working with the parents in our program as it related to volunteer work in the centers and volunteer work on our governing body known as the Policy Council. She also worked with our male outreach program to ensure that our fathers were included in trainings and other programs for the parents and volunteers. She trained the parents and volunteers in different areas as it related to program governance, volunteering and other areas as needed. I believe Nicole will give her best efforts in any position she is in and will perform to the best of her ability. Her genuine love for volunteerism and training will be beneficial to any organization.
