An editorial role in the foreign language department at Bildungshaus Schulbuchverlag WSDSW (Westermann Gruppe), Braunschweig, publishers of English textbooks such as Camden Market, Camden Town, Notting Hill Gate and London Bridge. My role was primarily in the area of teaching materials Förderschule and Inklusion classes, with highly mixed levels of English. I gained experience in the production, work cycles and legal rights aspects of publications for educational use in German schools through communication with internal and external editors, authors, illustrators and legal rights departments. My tasks included proofreading and editing of new material, composition of new material such as grammar exercises or an easy phonemic alphabet. Thanks to the help of an Adobe InDesign course, I was able to master the software quickly and become adept at creating an attractive page layout and redesigning according to feedback from authors and advisers. I helped to bring the first two editions of Stark In… Englisch to print and was able to participate in an overnight conference to help pitch ideas to senior editors and advisers from the industry.
