I served as the representative for the state of Oklahoma in developing policy and advocacy in geographic education and geo-literacy in consultation with National Geographic. After completion of a specialized, intensive training at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington D.C. , I helped implement the items learned regarding policy assessment and developed effective messages to policy makers at the state level about the importance of geographic education in partnership with the Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education (OKAGE).
