Assumed the Command and Control of ship whilst ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of the platform to perform the missions in a successfully manner.Managed and motivated a crew of 27 crew members, deployed far from the main base, for more than 300 days in total, while building a professional and sharp team ready for any assigned task.Reinforced time-management in the training, readiness and logistics before and during missions to increase performance and teamwork.Achieved positive results while executing high demand missions, such as Search and Rescue, monitoring and inspection of fishery activities, safeguard of the Portuguese sovereignty and contribute to the national Maritime Situational Awareness (MSA).Participated in two in two European Union Agency FRONTEX mission – INDALO Operation, in order to detect, locate, monitor and intercept activities related with irregular migration in the external borders of the EU as well as report any suspicious illegal activity (Human trafficking, drugs and weapon smuggling, pollution) in the area in close coordination with the Spanish authorities.
