      Our non-profit, inter-cultural exchange organization is volunteer based with an office of 40 paid staff members in Bonn and around 1000 volunteers all over Germany. We offer a wide variety of exchange programs for all age groups and on all continents. Throughout Germany, our volunteers devote their spare time to the cause of intercultural exchange by selecting and preparing participants, supporting host families and their guests, accompanying groups and presenting our programs at youth fairs and other events.Experiment Germany partners with foundations and institutions worldwide. It also runs programs for and together with the German Foreign Ministry, the German Bundestag, the Goethe Institute, the German Ministry for Development and Cooperations and many more.

      Federation EIL is the worldwide network of The Experiment in International Living. It was established in 1954 when Experiment national offices around the world formed a Swiss-registered association dedicated to providing highquality, intercultural educational exchange programs. Federation EIL members are privately run, nonprofit, nonpolitical, and nonreligious organizations.Federation EIL has held consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a nongovernmental organization in Category II since 1978, and with The Council of Europe since 1981. In 1989 it was recognized as a Peace Messenger organization by the United Nations Secretary General. Federation EIL is a member of WYSETC: The World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation.
