While working through the temp agency Accountemps they were able to find a position for me at United Road a large call hauling company. The position that was originally set for me was one in the Accounts Receivables department however after I started I was taught that I would be working the “grunt” work for sub-department collections. My main duties were send out all morning invoice, maintain contact with all credit application customers as well as do daily hourly scanning. This position was dedicated to those who were deemed temporary and after a month a half I was still denied the promise of learning MAS500 which is similar to the skillset I had that of MAS90. After some deliberation with management as well as my temp agency it was destined to end. I am no longer with Accountemps due to their lack of helping me find a position. Show less

    • Temporary Call Center Agent/Customer Service Representative
      • Mar 2014 - May 2014

Most recently I was employed with the temporary work agency MCM Staffing. The employees at MCM were able to find a temporary position for me at the marketing firm Dynamic. After three interviews with both MCM and Dynamic I was hired in as a temp for the call center division of the company. Dynamic is a world leading marketing firm that is responsible for the majority of major car companies around the globe. As a call center agent my main responsibilities were to contact customers who had inquired about vehicles whether on dealership websites or on the car company website. After speaking with them it was my job to set up appointments for the customer to go into the dealership to discuss/test drive the vehicles they had inquired on. Not only did I make calls to set appointments I also made calls to vehicle owners to discuss and congratulate them on their recent purchase and to dictate how their experience with the company was. Nearing the end of my employment with Dynamic there began to become loses in contracts with clients of the company. After a little short of two months I was released back to MCM Staffing due to lack of funding for call center agents. This position was very enlightening when it came to my customer service experience strictly over the phone. Unfortunately with my lack of experience and the decline of clients at MCM the company was unable to find me another position out of their agency. Show less

  • Sav-On Drugs Headquarters
    • Livonia, Michigan
    • Accounts Receivable Clerk/Purchasing/Customer Service Representative
      • Mar 2013 - Aug 2013

In the beginning of 2013 I worked for the Sav-On Drugs Headquarters. I was in both the Accounts Receivables and Purchasing departments. While at Sav-On I worked with the intake of invoices, verification of bank statements against deposit slips, prepared invoice batches, created invoices for payments on account, maintained the company's general ledger as well as assisting in a company wide employee payroll to name only a few. In the purchasing department I was in charge of many different purchasing responsibilities including being the main cosmetics and medical equipment purchaser as well as various smaller purchase orders. To save on costs Sav-On believes in the phrase “wearing multiple hats”. This philosophy lead to helping me learn more than just accounts receivables and purchasing but also how to work in an assorted area of office departments. Other duties I was rotated to be responsible for were to be receptionist, learn the ways of a mail room clerk, and gain the ability to help customers with praise or complaints for the company and a few new things about filing and general paperwork. Due to personal issues I was needed more at home and had to give up this position thus leading to my resignation only six months into a great job. Show less

  • Trijicon Inc.
    • Wixom, Michigan
    • Production Worker/Team Lead
      • Oct 2007 - Dec 2011

Trijicon is a company that builds guns scopes for many different consumers including the United States Military. When I started at Trijicon I was a third shift assembler. After a year of learning all positions on the assembly line I transferred to second shift to become their Shift Lead. As an assembler I was taught how to work with aluminum metal casings to later the ability to create all aspects of the prism production for the ACOG gun scope. After I moved to my new position and title on second shift I was taught how to take care of inventory for all three shifts as well as the ability to run a shift if the current supervisor was unavailable at the time. It was also my responsibilities to train all new employees and existing employees at new areas added or previously existent on the production line. The chance to become Shift Leader allowed me to learn the necessary paperwork that was needed to start and end any shift. All of my employee reviews, done every six months by the shift supervisor and human resources manager, kept to the above average or outstanding ranks for the entirety of my employment at Trijicon. As someone who was second in command on my shift I made it a point to help anyone who was in need or struggling. Trijicon was a great employment opportunity for me and the company made sure to give back to their employees as much as was possible. While on second shift I not only worked for the company as an employee but also played on the company basketball team. Due to an injury to my back I was unable to continue my employment because of the rigorous manual labor that was needed to stay on the assembly line. After Trijicon I took a little over a year off to insure my ability to take on any work without accommodation. Show less

  • Rosewood Fine Foods
    • Novi, Michigan
    • Waitress/Customer Service Representative/Assistant Manager
      • Jan 2005 - Aug 2008

I began my employment at Rosewood as a waitress. After eight months of being only a waitress/customer service employee I was promoted to assistant manager of the restaurant. My duties as a waitress were to help any customer who came through the door with customer service and a smile. I was also in charge of cashing out customers with a manual register and the responsibility of doing all dishes that were used throughout the entire business. Once I had become an assistant manager I took charge of creating the schedule, helping with payroll and on occasion assisting in cooking when needed. Roughly two years after my start date I was in trusted with counting down the register at close as well as opening and closing the restaurant alone. While at Rosewood I was shown a little better than I already knew that no one should judge a book by its cover. I was met with a very diverse amount of people who made me believe about the good in everyone. My decision to leave Rosewood was due to having a small child and dedicating myself to Trijicon.
