Saikiran worked a 10-week internship as a member of my employee incentives team in Verizon Consumer Customer Service. Saikiran had a marked contribution on our team during his short tenure and I hope we can also say we left a positive impression on him. Saikiran was quick and eager to learn about our team to begin making a contribution as quickly as possible. He was always positive, calm, inquisitive and upbeat in every single interaction he had with me and other team members. The hallmark of his internship was in delivering a data-driven analysis and strategic reco for our incentive programs in customer service. The legacy of his work will have an impact in shaping the future of our programs for years to come. I was glad to have the opportunity to manage and mentor Saikiran during his brief time with Verizon. His positivity and easy going attitude will serve him well as he is faced with bigger challenges as he embarks on his career. He demonstrated an acuity for the technical mechanics of statistical analyses through his work (e.g. R) and for finding alternative approaches to his analyses when faced with data limitations. He partnered well with our supplier to secure data in a very tight timeframe for his project. Within less than 6 weeks, he moved quickly to deliver an exceptional review of our incentive programs’ engagement and awards platform. I wish Saikiran lots of success in his future career. I stressed to him many times that I hope does not stay a stranger. I am sure our paths will cross again.
