I have seen Joe perform in both support and leadership roles, and Joe handles himself well in either situation. Joe has a positive attitude and a can-do spirit that separates him as a student and as a worker. In addition to serving as Joe’s academic advisor, I have seen Joe in action at the student-run Brewed Awakenings cafe. His outgoing nature and ability to connect with people marked his performance in a customer service role. In my Marketing Research class, Joe volunteered to lead a group of about 15 classmates in a semester-long community-based learning project, leading the group to a successful outcome. Joe is willing to take on challenges. Joe indicated an interest in marketing relative to the music industry and found an internship at a start-up company in the music sharing and filmed entertainment field. The manager of Joe’s internship found him to be a fast learner and a hard worker, also commenting on his positive attitude. It is this combination of ability and attitude that will make Joe an outstanding contributor to any organization he chooses.
