  As a second year physician assistant (PA) student I was hired to tutor first year PA students. I helped students through complex pathophysiology, history and physical exam, diagnostic evaluations, and management for all subjects discussed during the didactic portion of PA school. I was tasked with this while managing my own rigorous study schedule and completing my clinical year of PA school. Through this opportunity I was privileged to gain a deeper understanding of complex medical topics as I had to study those topics even harder in order to feel confident teaching them.
