• Senior design project was based on ten interdependent groups integrating processes to form a full-functioning, multi-production corn to merchant product plant• Designed a virtually zero liquid discharge water treatment and purification facility• Responsible for bio treatment process, researched literature for best techniques in practice, analyzed kinetics of anaerobic reactor for sizing• Drafted biological treatment system and sequentially purification system P&ID with full loop control scheme, material balance, and stream properties• Created a full annotated equipment list with sizing for the water treatment process with help of design equations, Aspen Plus, literature, and industry specialists• Analyzed overall economics of the water treatment plant with sensitivity analysis, NPV, IRR, expenses, scale-up, etc.• Created 3D AUTOCAD layouts of the water treatment process following OSHA, NFPA, and IRI guidelines• Utilized land to minimize hazards within plant and with surrounding process groups• Attended weekly team leader meetings to coordinate and relay progress and concerns with other nine groups to make a complete smooth integration of dependent processes• Led, scheduled, and organized effective team meetings with group and mentor to achieve weekly goals; outlined agendas• Completed a full report with recommendations
