There are some people who bring joy whenever one meets them. I rank Alhad very high in such individuals. I have known Mr Alhad for last 13 years and this association started with my stint at Zuventus Healthcare. I have found Mr Alhad as an approachable person with clarity of purpose in whatever he does. Of special mention would be his communication skills may it be written or spoken one. Whenever I have interacted with him, I have found him ready with his detailed homework on the topic of discussion or a problem at hand with his thought notes handy. He communicates with pleasant manners with full confidence and one can feel that he has mastery of the brands, grasp of what the brands are doing now and where they are need to be taken to future goals. I have observed him interact with his marketing and sales juniors and the great amount of love and affection which they have in him though at times they view him in awe. He is firm in his message in what needs to be done and at the same time flexible to listen and appreciate other point of view. I have seen him adapt new area of knowledge easily, pick up skills swiftly and his drive to grow his own personality by consulting seniors as well as getting opinions from juniors. He carries a smile always on his face and it is wonderful to watch him interact with people in meetings, field work or otherwise. I enjoyed working with Alhad and learnt a great deal too in various areas in pharma marketing and of special mention would be ways of communication. I wish Alhad a great success ahead.

Alhad sir has a sharp marketing acumen & has a great sense of judgement about backing the right strategy which will deliver results. He is the key architect of building Zuventus therapy portfolio & has played a pivotal role is establishing all the big brands of Zuventus. Although he is a task master, but directly reporting to him was a terrific learning experience.

Zuventus Healthcare Ltd is today one of the top pharma companies in the country with Rs.1300 crores in turnover, 8 SBUs, and 3000 employees. However, my association with the company goes back to 2002 when the company was constituted. After being promoted to vice-president marketing, I was entrusted with marketing responsibilities of 2 major SBUS – One a multi-speciality, multi-therapeutic category & the other focusing on pain management. Envisioned and executed blueprints for both the SBUs resulting in a current turnover of Rs.900 crores. Our team has established three brands with Rs 100+ crores in sales and three with Rs.50+ crores in sales. A few completely new molecules were launched in both the SBUs. Sustained efforts of the team ensured that the company, for the first time, entered the vaccines and neuro-paediatric markets. Having spent such a long time in the industry, I am well-versed with challenges & opportunities that arise due to changing government policies. I have been responsible for anticipating such events and preparing each SBU for changing market conditions.

Leading the product management team of 7 members gave me the opportunity to replicate my earlier performance by increasing market share and introducing new brands. We orchestrated the launch of 17 new brands across categories including NSAIDs, antibiotics, nutrition, and cardiovasculars. The market share and turnover both doubled during the period, and the sales figures jumped from 28 crores to approximately 65 crores. After taking over the responsibilities as the Group Product Manager, the primary focus was on expanding Alkem into new segments. We introduced 10 new brands in cardiac and diabetic segments marking the entry of Alkem in the chronic segment. The efforts of the entire team paid off as two brands were in the top 5 brands in their respective categories. The marketing team followed a penetrative and innovative promotional approach also refreshing the identity of Alkem Ulticare.
