      Appointed by PBS Distribution (Boston) and venture capital trust Quadra Media to set up PBS' first international channel in the UK. Launched channel from scratch 3 months after putting a very talented team of three who run the whole operation. Have grown distribution by negotiating deals with Sky, Virgin (twice), Freesat, Freeview and Amazon and instigated creative EPG swap with UKTV. Sourced 300+ hours of acquired documentaries from 24 distributors and with the help of brilliant programming and marketing heads have doubled viewing share since launch year. Have grown revenue by 50% since the first full ad sales year in 2013 through two ad sales pitches and VOD/OTT deals with Sky and Amazon as well as 4 DVD distribution deals with SONY, Go Entertain, Canny Minds and Simply Media. Have reduced channel operating costs by 30% since 2012 including switching to IP playout and cloud based media management which has halved such costs. Show less
