When I made the decision to run for Congress, I set out to prove that any normal person with enough will, energy, and passion to do the job can put in the effort and make a difference. Through grassroots efforts, I have set out on a journey to defend democracy, preserve our environment, and bring our people back to a common understanding of what the truth is. I'm a Bay Area native, an Eagle Scout, a classically trained historian, and technology professional. My wife is a local physician and was born and raised in Sonoma County. In the course of 37 days, despite having a full-time job, I successfully convinced 1,024 people in my community to sign for me to pursue this opportunity, and it is my hope that this effort will inspire others to pick up the cause of a united American people that will choose love over hate, wisdom over ignorance, and a brighter future for everyone. As your representative, I will make every effort to restore civility in our political process, reform our institutions, beat this pandemic, and do more than we ever have to combat climate change at its sources. If we do not act now, we risk losing everything we have fought so hard for.
