After a number of years of experience as a copywriter, I was honoured to be part of the Berners Marketing content team. With content increasing in importance for the legal profession, I worked with a team of legal authors in ensuring that all our content worked effectively to promote our clients’ legal services across all media types: web, print, email and social media. In addition, I was trained in the company's state-of-the-art software for CRM, website updates and emaiI newsletter production. Not only did I ensure that the quality of the content provided by our legal authors was client friendly, but I ensured that it got maximum exposure through posting all client news to social media, including blogs and Twitter.

    • Freelance Writer, Editor & Proofreader
      • May 2009 - Jan 2016

As a freelance writer and editor, I worked with clients across the world to help them deliver great writing and content. This involved working for clients in variety of sectors from finance to healthcare, to charities and artists. Articles, blogs, brochures and website content were just a few of the many projects I worked on regularly. In this line of work I had to be dedicated, self motivated and highly organised. Achieving this successfully rewarded me with prominent appointments for such organisations as Age UK, Wowcher and What's On Cornwall.

    • Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos
    • Documentations Assistant
      • Jul 2013 - Jan 2014

My role at the Wedgwood Museum involved assisting within the UNESCO recognised archives and gallery. Here I was trained in handling historical items, their museum accession numbering system and online collection database. Scanning historical documents, researching items within the archive, uploading, cross-referencing and problem solving, were just a few of the skills I gained. What I helped to create was a completed and accurate database for worldwide enthusiasts and academics of Wedgwood to use and enjoy. The system by which volunteers and staff now search and organise the gallery is now streamlined and far more effective.

The role utilised my natural writing ability, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. As a freelance appointment, being dedicated and reliable was also paramount to my success here, and as such I have been credited in their published reports for UK broadcasters.
