  After a successful period leading the International Business Division of Santander UK, my remit expanded to cover the bank's Product Management, whilst continuing to focus on building our International offering.

  Santander UK created its International Business Division at the end of 2013. I took on the role of Head of International. My team and I worked to enhance connectivity between the Group as well as expand Santander UK's entire International proposition. Santander has developed a unique suite of support and tools, such as the Santander Trade Portal, to help ambitious business create, execute and manage International Trade. Given Banco Santander’s international presence and our growing alliances with correspondent banks covering the most important trade corridors of our client base, along with the recent implementation of our international product capabilities, this new area became a “game changer” in our quest in becoming the SME and Corporate Bank of choice in the UK. The creation of Santander UKs new International platform involved both a major deployment of resources and a fundamental change in the way international services are delivered to our clients.
