I had the pleasure of meeting Vidisha virtually in the spring of 2021 as a mentor for a group who were submitting a project for the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge. Vidisha's strong technical skills and attention to detail are well matched with her passion for nature-inspired design and for making a positive difference in the world. During our work together she grasped new concepts quickly and initiated her own experiments to test hypothesis, further deepening her understanding of nature's water-harvesting strategies. As the project progressed, her roles included refinement of the design and concept through various iterations and the production of a 3D model based on the biomimetic research. Vidisha has demonstrated the ability to thrive both working alone and as part of a team. I'm certain that she will continue to excel in whatever she puts her mind to.
