I was the supervisor of Morad Lakhssassi’s Ph D thesis a few years ago. Morad carefully analyzed a complex geological problem involving magma transport and solidification, and the coupling with chemical reactions. He was able to build a physical model, a correlated numerical one and analyse the experiments; the results are of great interest to the geological community (many downloads). As a whole, Morad showed good qualities of rigor, conscientious work, patience, and showed his skill in tackling physical and numerical problems. I do recommend him.
