Perform several different jobs/roles within a Critical Access Hospital In general: - Document initial findings, goals, interventions, and discharges using ReDoc - Review medical records, images, and notes from other healthcare disciplines using Meditech Live Inpatient Acute Care and Inpatient Sub-Acute Swing Bed Program: - Evaluate and treat a wide variety of post-surgical and non-surgical patients, including patients recovering from total hip arthroplasty (THA), total knee arthroplasty (TKA), and total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) - Issue and educate patients/family members on appropriate use of AE and modified techniques in order to increase independence and facilitate safe discharge home - Schedule, coordinate, and liaise with other disciplines regarding patient progress/concerns in order to provide therapy services to patients on a daily basis - Perform pre- and post-operative consultations for surgery patients in order to educate patients/families on surgery precautions, exercises, and modified activities of daily living (ADL) techniques - Review patient referrals with case manager in order to determine appropriateness for admission to sub-acute rehab unit Outpatient Adults: - Evaluate and treat surgical and non-surgical adult patients suffering from a variety of upper extremity disorders, including biceps tendonitis, rotator cuff injuries/repairs, arthritis, lateral epicondylitis, adhesive capsulitis, subluxation, and CVA/other neurological conditions that affect the use of the shoulder/elbow/hand Community Mental Health/LUNA Neuro-Trauma Assessments: - Evaluate children and adolescents exposed to poly-trauma in order to determine strengths and areas of concern - Analyze findings from standardized assessments and examiner observation in order to recommend individualized and tailored interventions - Proficient in administering and analyzing Infant, Child, and Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profiles and the QNST-3R (Quick Neurological Screening Test-3 Revised) Show less
