• Progress Grid Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects from greenfield and early-stage development to financial close; • Technical due diligence, engineering support and functional specification development; • Lead development functions including; site selection, planning/permitting, liaison with relevant stakeholders, and EPC contract negotiation; • Support grid connection processes and applications (Generator Performance Standards, R0, R1, R2 + negotiation with NSP’s and AEMO to obtain 5.3.4a/b letters, Registration, R2 Test Plan, etc) • Assessment of utility-scale renewable generation opportunities, with a particular focus on BESS including conducting due diligence on potential targets and business case preparation; • Management of external project consultants to ensure all project works comply with relevant regulations and expectations ensuring high levels of health & safety; • Lead and engage with partners on co-development projects; • Represent projects with external stakeholders throughout the project development phase; • Oversee local community consultation and engagement; and • Contract with and manage external development consultants for planning, grid connection studies and other consultants as required for projects to reach Final Investment Decision (FID).
