• Daily Marine operational aspects of a group of vessels covering – navigation, mooring, deck equipment, safety equipment, Port arr/dep & STS operations and general condition • Ensure safe cargo operations of loading / discharging, grade change, tank preparation and all hazardous operations • Work in conjunction with the technical team for DD specification, planning and execution • Work in conjunction with the commercial team for voyage/route optimization and cargo operation approvals • Responsible for the vessel’s 3rd party inspections – SIRE, CDI, PSC, USCG, Terminal, Flag, Class and Quality Management Audits • Management Inspections and Internal audits on ships. Identify areas for improvement and verify the implementation of the corrective and preventive action • Review vessel reports – Navigational, Safety, SIRE/CDI inspection, PSC inspections, Internal audits, Near misses, Incidents /Accidents, W&R hours • Liaise with interested parties such as Class, Oil Majors, Owners, Suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure vessels are certificated in accordance with international regulations • Assist crewing department with interviewing senior deck officers to evaluate suitability for selection/promotion, medical cases, crew matrix compliance for individual vessels and charterers, disciplinary matters and compiling data for KPI purposes • Leading projects for implementation on fleet vessels and global offices • Manage and monitor all planned and unplanned repairs to ensure they are conducted safely • Prepare and conduct training for officers and crew • Conduct safety, environmental and security drills onboard to assess effectiveness • Part of incidents/accidents investigation team • Assist in preparations for TMSA(Tanker Management Self-Assessment) audits and Quality Management Audits and contribute in preparation for operator responses • Assist for MOC in vessel takeover/handover including pre-purchase inspections • Contribute to PMS developments Show less
