You don’t often come across someone with a keen eye for design like Matt. I hired Matt as we were building out the design team and from the moment he joined he began to make an impact. Matt’s ability to understand the problem at hand whilst applying best practice design patterns had a lasting effect on both the product and the team, not to mention his skills in latte art! Matt would be an asset to any team. I look forward to seeing where the future takes him.

Matt is fantastic product designer, and an excellent human to work with. He tackled every challenge thrown at him with professionalism and showed exceptional skill and passion for the user experience. Matt was always a positive influence within the team and someone who the whole team could always rely on.

As a product designer at Cognassist I am responsible for the aesthetic and overall usability of the platform. Things includes everything from the onboarding workflows, to the assessment, the report and the post assessment experience. I am able to do this by gathering user research and working closely with key stakeholders across the business as well as the product team. This means creating low fidelity wireframes in Figma which are later transformed into high fidelity UI mock-ups and prototypes when needed. Show less

As a product designer at Carbon I was tasked with creating wireframes and prototypes as well as high fidelity mockups of new product features. I worked very closely with the head of product as well as the engineering team to deliver these design solutions. At Salesfire my primary role was to sit within the product team and create engaging UI solutions for the customer facing dashboard. The included designing new product views, settings views and many other UI components. As well as this I also worked on creating the marketing website and also building out the front end. To do this I used a variety of tools including Figma, HTML, CSS, SASS, PHP and Javascript. I started my role at Middlesbrough College as an Apprentice Graphic Designer. My role is to primarily assist in the design of the College's internal marketing materials. This ranges from things to small posters and leaflets to larger guides and prospectus's. Another part of my role has been to give Graphic and Web Design assistance to the college's entrepreneurial groups and various other competitions. Recently I designed an app UI for a student lead Market Maker competition. This included designing all of the visuals and helping with the presentation at the IOD in London. Show less
