    • Development Intern
      • Sep 2015 - Jan 2016

Assisted the development team in planning Young Friends fundraisers and networking events that benefit the Historical Society of Pennsylvania's Adopt-a-Collection program. For the fall 2015 Young Friends event, "Creepy Curiosities & Cocktails," I planned and organized a cocktail hour fundraiser for young professionals. I secured over $2,000 in sponsorship donations from many of Philadelphia's most popular eateries, small-businesses and cultural institutions. In order to introduce young professionals to the mission of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, I curated an intimate, one-night only pop-up display of the strangest and creepiest items in HSP's vault (including crumbs from Queen Victoria's wedding cake!). I also created a social media campaign (#creepycuriosities) using Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and MailChimp to promote and increase ticket sales. "Creepy Curiosities & Cocktails" was the most successful Young Friends event to date, raising over $3,500 to benefit Adopt-a-Collection.

I catalogued incoming loans and acquisitions in PastPerfect database, process new donations to the private museum library, and packaged objects for off-site storage. I was part of the deinstallation team for "Chasing Dreams: Baseball and Becoming American;" I wrote condition reports, photographed, packed and inventoried over two hundred objects traveling across to other museums across the country.
