Senior Executive and General Counsel

My focus as General Counsel is building the legal and compliance infrastructure for a global, 1100-person, technology-driven additive manufacturing business in a rapidly evolving technology environment. As the top legal executive providing strategic commercial, operational and risk management advice, I lead all legal and contract matters including IP, L&E, and sourcing with a small, agile team. Living in Munich, Germany as an expatriate for 6 months allowed me to expand my cultural boundaries while building my knowledge of European and international legal matters. As key members of a startup focused on learning and implementing Lean, my team and I have been developing innovative approaches to contracting with customers in a wide variety of industries as well as forging GE Additive’s software licensing strategies. I have also been focused on shaping our government relations initiatives to increase the market adoption of additive technologies; developing running rules with respect to policy and reputational issues related to technology sales in high risk countries and segments; and using process and leadership skills to assist the business with Supply Chain and other non-legal issues.
