Conducted rehearsals, concerts, and recordings; chose and commissioned repertoire; performed all admin functions with only one sometime assistant. And all without a Board that would ever really encrouage its own incorporation. The claim still stands that Max Schubel of Opus One Records destroyed recording masters because my ex-wife wouldn't years later pay him extortion (though it couldn't have hurt to have brought me in on the problem).

Rehearsed and conducted about 25 performances of a half a dozen operas, including six of a full production of SIEGFRIED, for which I formed the orchestra myself, and never got paid, nor ever got a copy of the CD. Overall a very trying experience, which included some of the worst performances I ever gave, due to the Artistic Director bringing in singers without rehearsal. My SIEGFRIED did manag to avoid the worst. The Board member who thought he was a singer had me fired for not following him; he refused to believe that singers follow conductors, militantly stating the opposite. Show less

Wrote much didactic music (hundreds of pieces) which the girls sang in class, and also wrote several (non-didactic) compositions for the girls in Concert Chorus and Virtuose to sing.
