  As Director of Education for the IFDIA, I am responsible for implementation of the online web delivered IAS accredited curriculum. I am also responsible for working with our IT and Web Development team to ensure accurate delivery of content and final processing of certificates of completion for our graduates. Additionally, my work involves negotiations with vendors and partners who require in-house training and support. Working with auditors from the International Accreditation Services is also a fun and exciting experience, but not part of my primary function. Show less

  For over 15 years, I have been responsible for driving the direction of this company as well as engineering, developing and patenting products useful to the access control and electrified security industry. I currently have 17 US patents in door hardware related items and electro-mechanical assemblies. My other duties are to implement strategic alliances with partner companies, ensure our customers and team members are well informed and that all expectations are met to the highest degree. Responsible for the first modified power transfer hinge (electrified hinge) that received UL 10C certification for fire door listing. I also engineered and developed the first power transfer hinge that could handle high amperage current for electrified panic exit devices. Responsible for SEO, SEM and SEF development of the corporate website, as well as the UI and related internet connectivity. Designer and developer of the first field program for fire door modifications to accept wire chases for use with electrified access control hardware. Developed in partnership with Intertek Testing Services, N.A, a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory and owners of the Warnock Hersey, ETL-Semko marks.
