ME1010 Organization and Knowledge-Intensive WorkA clear trend is that industrial organizations are becoming more knowledge intensive. Reasons to this are the rapid development within the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) area, a heigthened work task specialisation and collaboration between different areas of knowledge.The general aim of the course is that the student should understand and acquire perspective on knowledge intensive work as well as be prepared before future positions in knowledge intensive sectors. The course should also give a theoretical basis for advanced courses in organisation and leadership.

President of the Computer Science Business Relation Group (Datasektionens Näringslivsgrupp)

Being President of the Computer Science Business Relation Group (Näringslivsgruppen) at KTH, I was responsible for a team of 16 driven students, who worked together in arranging business events aimed towards computer science students at KTH. Together with my team, I helped created the awareness of companies in need of system developers and computer scientists in general. During my time as President, I’ve re-structured the group into a fully working organisation, where everyone in the group has a role. I wanted to get everyone involved in the work that we were doing and make everyone feel important. Also, I was continuously working with improving the services we offered, as well as the way we connected students with businesses. I highly believe that good communication and interaction between computer science students and businesses is critical to keep computer science students motivated in pursuing their dreams of being a computer scientists, as well as greatly benefit businesses. So far, being President of the Computer Science Business Relation group has been one of the most rewarding and educative experiences in my life. I’ve greatly improved my leadership and management skills as well as getting a deeper understanding of the IT industry in general.
