Area of focus: Printed electronics Two years working experience in a research environment focusing on 2D & 3D Aerosol-Jet printing and Piezo-Jet printing for various application such as polymer optical waveguide, strain gauge and encapsulation. Details of tasks include: • Fabricated core material of polymer optical waveguides on 2D and 3D surfaces • Evaluated the feasibility of different printing inks (silver, copper, carbon) for strain gauge application • Provided the proof of concept for the Aerosol-Jet printing of Perhydropolysilazane (PHPS) and empirical evidence of its water and oxygen barrier effects through encapsulation of organic photovoltaic devices as well as minimized coffee-ring effect of printed PHPS through printing process optimization • Secondary tasks: Confocal laser scanning, flash sintering, laser sintering, FTIR, CAD modelling with CREO
