Arianna Anaya
Within her relatively short time with FC, Miriam has significantly elevated the quality and efficiency of all facets of operations at our largest site, a location that, in a mere 6 weeks, sees more 5,000 households assisted by our seasonal staff and amazing volunteers. On her own initiative and with limited supervision, Miriam designed, organized and managed our most successfully effort at phone banking to date and re-tooled our entire intake and wait room process. Previously, our clients could regularly expect wait times of up to 4 hours; under Miriam's management and targeted re-vamping of that process, that wait time was cut to about an hour. Though operations management was in no way connected to the role she was hired to perform, Miriam has filed a year long void in staffing by essentially serving as the most effective building operations manager we've ever had. She took on and embraced this role basically because she enjoys it and was able to cover the extensive operational duties of four separate programs housed in two different buildings while still working full time in her role as a health insurance manager. She literally did the work of three people, three separate positions and somehow, made it look easy, effortless and enjoyable. She is a marvel.
