Bio
PAUL SCHEELER
I've worked with Jesse on several projects since he was retained in 2011 to serve as Librarian/Curator for the Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago's new $25 million facility in Bloomingdale, IL, where I have served as an officer for the past decade as well as presiding officer 2011-2012 of the Illinois Lodge of Research, which maintains a downstate library & museum with its own vast collection of rare books and artifacts. Jesse has been indispensable to the VOC, tirelessly cataloging thousands of volumes and researching hundreds of pieces, many of which had never before been accessible to our 4,000 members and countless visitors. But what is most remarkable to me is that he is just starting his career, and yet it is obvious from his passion, professionalism and dedication that he has chosen well and has a bright future indeed. I must concur with my colleagues that we frankly don't know what we would have done without him.
