      Working within Lancaster University's UK Student Recruitment & Widening Participation team I lead on the development of the University's flagship Lancaster Access Programme, aiming to encourage and support young people in Years 9-13 to progress to higher education. The programme involves extensive schools engagement, event management and stakeholder relationship management and supports around 300 students a year. I also line manage the Widening Participation Co-ordinator assisting with the programme.I also have leadership over the University's residential and Summer School provision for widening participation students and work with colleagues on a number of smaller specific interventions. In the last two years I have had succesful external funding applications with both the Medical Schools Council and FutureU UniConnect Programme totalling over £110K and the delivery of collaborative events.The role also allows me to contribute to a range of wider initiatives across the university including admissions decision making, student recruitment support, social media engagement and interaction with current students and staff across the institution.
