  At Maker Labs I am a full stack developer, I write code from AWS Cloudformation templates and Kubernetes manifests right through to React JS components and mobile applications on both iOS and Android. I also code review all code written by other developers we work with and lead on most architectural decisions. I'm also responsible for implementing agile processes on the projects we work on. That means I have a lot of experience breaking projects down into user stories and making sure that those stories are reviewed by product owners and demoed at the end of each iteration.   Driive is a company built to help car insurers assess risk based on actual driving behaviour. Driive app uses the sensors in your smartphone to assess your driving behaviour. If you qualify as a safe driver, it enables us to offer you cheaper car insurance. At Driive I developed the Django REST API which recorded data (timestamped GPS coordinates and gryo readings) from the drivers mobile app and stored them in a POSTGIS database. I also wrote the algorithms which turned this data into a risk score, specific problems included smoothing out noise in the data using kalman filtering and fitting the data to the roads the user had driven on using Openstreetmap.
