I work as part of a .NET development team helping to maintain and and add new features to the company's flagship product PPM, using ASP.Net, C#, VB.Net, SQL and JavaScript.Currently the lead developer on the companies in house RESTful API, handling integrations to and from customers and designing endpoints for the company's mobile app to consume.I have implemented multiple value add improvements to the API; added Swagger to make our API easier for customers to integrate with including making it Open API v3 compliantI have worked closely with members of Quality Assurance to implement a suite of JMeter performance tests to uncover underperforming code and database implementations.Orchestrated sprint refinement sessions to enable the team to understand the customer requirements translated into our functional and non-functional requirements and led design sessions with individual members of the team to talk them through and help them contribute to the overall architecture of the solution. Worked on a bespoke .Net Core API for a customer to allow them to integrate with our main application.Developed a Xamarin mobile app for the company using the MVVM design pattern. Used MvvmCross to seperate all the logic from the front end to make the app more maintainable. Used Refit and SQLite to allow the mobile app to work offline.Improved coding standards and naming conventions by giving a presentation on clean code which was used as a template moving forward to ensure developers wrote code that was readable and easy to maintain.Interviewed new candidates and also took part in the mentoring of new graduate developers to help them familiarize themselves with our technology stack and our coding standards.

I worked in Avnet as an intern on a small .NET team of 4 developing a system to record the minting of coins and the printing of notes for one of the biggest banks in Ireland.During my time here, I worked on developing several of the screens in the application from start to finish, using MVC, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, jQuery, Ajax, and SQL.I participated in workshops with the customer to show them the application on a monthly basis and take in feedback to improve the overall design of the application.
