Nick is a positive and enthusiastic person who can be relied upon to deliver on his promises. Professional and friendly, he is an excellent trainer and motivates people through his knowledge and enthusiasm. His advice and suggestions for business growth are usually insightful and useful and I would have no hesitation to recommend him.

I have known Nick to be insightful, dedicated and a real team player. Nick's understated and humble personal approach belie a stimulating person full of ideas and positive energy for the things he cares about most. Nick is a generous kind-hearted guy and a real pleasure to be around. I enjoyed my brief time working with Nick immensely and wish him every future success.

What a ride this was! I very nearly died....twice, on an international sales conference in Brazil! Client account management role that morphed from working on all of Oakley's product categories into multiple retail categories in London, the South East & the Channel Islands i.e. Surf & Lifestyle, Bike, Opticians & Department Stores to a purely working with the Optical marketplace from 2007 onwards. My residing memory of this time is one of great sadness. What I did or tried to do was the following. Drive engagement of the Oakley brand within the UK optical channel (Wholesale, Independent, Key and National Accounts) in accordance with the brand heritage, brand ethos and current positioning in the UK, European and World markets. Got married, sold up, bought a world plane ticket and left paid employment. Milked cows, saw sights, met amazing folk and developed new skills I'd never known existed! Why did we come back? Senior client services manager covering Suffolk and Essex. I will never entirely get the smell of rotten eggs out of my subconscious mind! I absorbed an amazing foundation in account management from various courses and the many long-serving highly experienced (probably dead now!) professionals. Absolutely loved the industry, people, hairy coffee and the part I played in the development of my team and area. Senior client services manager covering Suffolk and Essex. I loved working at W H Smith. One of my defining memories was getting Bob Monkhouse to agree to a book signing in the tiny Leighton Buzzard branch. He was an absolute gent and as well as signing everyone's hardback he hand drew a cartoon in every book (he used to be an illustrator in the Beano Comics!). I also have a hilarious storey about Edwina Currie but I'm saving that for my memoirs! W H Smith. A great company to start a management career and my rapid development and promotions were totally down to the people and other managers of the time who mentored me. Here are some key aspects of my responsibilities prior to me leaving due to being head-hunted by a Christmas temps husband. Managing a team of 35 staff in my last position Implementing and executing multiple company strategies (Including the implementation of the original National Lottery kiosks!) Sourcing and interviewing new team members Managing stock levels and organizing 2 audits a year (Counting pencils was a highlight!) Coaching and team building Show less
