• Project Manager on a project for a publishing company, which transformed all aspects of their business by consolidating several sources of data into a single database. The system provided a new accounting system, with order entry, sales and analysis support. Responsible for the design, installation and maintenance of a SQL Server database. Also installed a Solomon software accounting application that was customized using Visual Basic. Several supporting Access databases, Active Server Pages, and Crystal reports were created for financial analysis, and conference tracking. • Project Manager of an engagement with a manufacturing organization to track and analyze company, project and survey data. Responsible for the analysis, functional and technical design of an n-tier architecture, as well as the implementation of the system on an Oracle database with a Visual Basic interface. Created several ActiveX components for code re-use throughout the organization.• Developer/Analyst of a web application used by meeting planners to locate suppliers and manage requests for proposals. The interface allowed suppliers to maintain their information displayed on the site, as each page was dynamically constructed based on data in the database. Meeting planners entered a set of criteria and were presented with a list of suppliers that could best meet their needs. Responsible for the design and development of the database as well as the interface. Cold Fusion was used with IIS to access a SQL Server database.

• Project Manager/Analyst of a complex Claims Revenue System for an insurance company to analyze revenue, reserve, and billing data. With a team of seven, the application was developed in Visual Basic with a three tier architecture using stored procedures to access a Sybase database. Responsible for all phases of the project including the proposal, business and functional specifications, and the system test plan.• Project Manager/Developer on a project to create over sixty batch reports for a life insurance company. The reports were created in SQR using Sybase stored procedures to summarize and report data. Responsibilities included requirements analysis, technical design of the system architecture, and development of Sybase stored procedures using SQR.• Project manager/Developer on a six person project at a large mutual fund company. Designed and developed an application used by over ten trading assistants to prepare and enter currency forwards transactions. Designed an extensive base class of PowerBuilder objects used by the project team. Also developed several complex Oracle stored procedures using PL/SQL, further enhancing the modularity, efficiency and maintainability of the application.• Programmer/Analyst for a mutual fund company. Played a key role in moving the company from an AS400 system, to an internal client server environment. Responsible for database design and administration throughout the development of several applications. Developed a reporting wizard for adhoc reporting, a commission system, a promotion tracking system, and maintained a Broker Information System. Also designed and developed a system used as a central repository for company-wide information and an Executive Information System used to present sales data and projections to senior level management. These systems were developed in Visual Basic, using Microsoft Access, Sybase, SQR, and OLE interfaces to Word and Excel.
