  A cookbook created by copywriter Vera Haket and designer Pao Choi. The book is full of specialties from local residents of Crooswijk. The aim is to show their talents and their relationship with the district. Health is an important theme in the neighborhood so we try to encourage healthy eating through the cookbook.

  'I dreamed' is a project of Foundation Bij Corrie and SKVR. It is a special project in Rotterdam Hillesluis that connects generations of migrants through the sharing of stories. The story of the child is key. Within this project, I worked with Marieke Kütschreutter on a performance in which parents participated with their child. Artist Erika Blikman experienced it herself and recorded the process of her relocation to a property in working-class quarter Crooswijk and the mutual understanding with her new neighbours in photographs and film. The Historical Museum Rotterdam shows in Schielandhuis her attempt to make Crooswijk her home. The visitor follows Blikman as a brand new Crooswijker making contact with her neighbours and taking initiatives for all to live with pleasure in the neighbourhood." Show less

  Binnenstebuiten (Inside out) "How displaced is or appears the world to outsiders? This question inevitably came with Kyoko Inatome (visual artist) and Erika Blikman during their stay at AIR The Fifth Season located on a psychiatric institute. Both originally came from other worlds and other cultures and thus working with this as an artist. With their art they look for a way to fill the emptiness of leaving their homeland. They have sought forms that provided that also to patients of William Arntsz Hoeve. And to emphasize that patients are ordinary people, like their therapists, counsellors and visitors, they also involved them in their project. “Do those who come to our presentation see any difference?" they wonder. The answer is yes, but mostly because all the people are different. Art is (again) an intermediary to see that." Show less
