Performed research that examined potential evidence for the effects of historical and/or contemporary logging on sediment transportation along Black Creek in DeSoto National Forrest in southern Mississippi. This involved (i) locating desirable cutbanks along the Black Creek, (ii) obtaining soil samples, (iii) performing lab procedures measuring organic matter content and hydrometer analysis, among others, (iv) and interpreting results of lab analyses.
